Health & Welfare
The Health and Welfare Action Group aims to identify the provision of health and welfare facilities within the village and highlight any shortcomings.
For the able-bodied, articulate person in employment, Keyworth does, on the face of it, seem to be well provided with health and welfare facilities. There is the Health Centre (we can hardly miss it), dental surgeries and optometrists. There is the Keyworth Advice Centre. There are Churches and Help Groups. The Health and Welfare Action Group hopes to identify any omissions.
We aim to develop the Keyworth Village Plan in consultation with all sections of the community and with the existing providers.
From the resposes so far the following questions have been identified:
- Do you feel that Keyworth has sufficient facilities to meet your health and welfare needs?
- Do you think that there are means that could help you to become more pro-active in understanding and undertaking steps for preventative medicine and well-being?
- Would you be interested in supporting a pre-retirement forum discussing health and welfare issues?
