Leisure
The Leisure Action Group aims to identify and promote existing facilities so they may be appreciated, maintained and extended within the village.
Keyworth supports many leisure facilities and organisations which enrich the life of the village. They provide leisure and educational opportunities for both individuals and groups. They substantially help to maintain and foster a sense of community within in the village. Our leisure facilities play a vital role in helping to promote the physical and mental well-being of individuals throughout our community.
The leisure facilities are provided by various organisations, the County, Borough and Parish Councils, by independent businesses and various clubs and associations.
Many of the pressent leisure facilities are advertised in the monthly Keyworth News and the bi-annual Keyworth Guide.
The plan hopes to identify any gaps in provision and to consider the accessibility of the available activities.
We also hope to identify threats to the existing provisions and to warn of the wider consequences of failing to sustain a local leisure community which is vibrant and accessible.
We aim to consult with individuals, providers and the community groups.
