Ramps penalise the law abiding, this is unacceptable. Frequent speed limit markings on the road surface. Appears to be little regard for the disabled, poor access, poor paths, inconsiderate parking, blocking dropped kerbs, parking on pavements and too narrow pavements. Resident only zones should be introduced on Elm Avenue/Elm close as these get used as an overflow car park for the village hall and will also be used when "Wrights Folly" is completed, as the parking for this is totally inadequate. Inconsiderate parking here makes it difficult for residents to get in and out of their properties.

2hr parking would solve most of the problems particularly on Church Dr and the Parade shops. Some people park there and catch the bus to work. I am very angry when I have to carry heavy bags of shopping half way down Wolds Dr. It would also solve the school parking. It would only work if a regular check by a traffic warden, a few fines would solve the problem. Some residents (Church Dr) could have parking stickers for visitors on Mon-Fri, Rushcliffe BC could issue these, it works well in Camden.

Most people have driveways, if they were used there would be no need for residents only parking. Another major problem is parking on double yellow lines, what’s the point of these if the law is not enforced?

Used to be able to get round village in both directions, now bus is one-way route so I have to use car to carry shopping back home. If parking charges I would not use local shops I'd go to large supermarket. I disagree strongly with any charges. A park and ride on the outer side of village would be answer to all day parkers.

I have contacted the local authority to complain about the problem with dustbins on several occasions, but the problem still persists. The bin men are abusive if asked to return the bins to the driveway.

Public transport system has improved over last few years and I use it. Good public transport is essential. Parking problems are caused by the culture of not parking on driveways and filling the garage with "stuff". This is a selfish habit. People want to park immediately outside the facility (for example shop) they want to use. Both must stop if necessary through fines. In places it is getting dangerous.

Q29 enforced 30mph limit through village and on Bunny Lane. Fast driving along Bunny Lane between Nottingham Road and Manor Road. Where I live at Woodleigh, homeowners are aged 70-mid 90's and we have difficulty crossing Bunny Lane because of fast moving traffic.

The speed limit is NOT respected and more should be done against that. The same applies to parking on double yellow lines opposite the chemist, in Main Street by the estate agents, etc!

Would like to have no parking on Bunny Lane, it's very difficult to get out of drive from No 11 with the car park there.

Bunny Lane traffic is often very busy, but worst of all is the speed. Many cars go way above 30mph past my house. We desperately need a speed restriction flashing sign and/or speed ramps before someone gets killed. IT'S THAT BAD. People should be discouraged to park at Bunny Lane car park all day (which they do) as it restricts shoppers, this could mean charging.

Please can we have speed control measures on Bunny Lane where it changes from 60mph to 30mph as NO-ONE slows down and I have had cats run over and so have neighbours, as well as nearly being "wing mirrored" a couple of times when getting out of my car!

The Bunny Lane car park is fantastic. The buses to and from Nottingham are WONDERFUL. I am so impressed that there are late night buses. Prices have increased recently but still much cheaper than a taxi. Living on Bunny Lane our main daily concern is about traffic speed. Speed bumps, bollards or cameras would make a dramatic impact on the quality of our lives. A bus to the University of Nottingham or a car-sharing scheme would be very good. The QMC bus is too infrequent, stops too early and does not go near enough to the University Park.

Resident’s only parking would cause difficulties when having visitors, I have found this in other towns/villages. When I first came to Keyworth I could travel from Loughborough and Beeston directly by bus and also these services helped to visit other villages. Now you have to take 2 buses and travel into Nottingham to do it.

Buses only go in one direction around Keyworth now, its unsatisfactory for people who want to go to and from shops.

I find it almost impossible to park round Budgens and usually end up parking in pub car park for a short time while I shop. There are too many people parking in this area and leaving their cars all day and it needs dealing with. The school could easily have parking on their land freeing the car park for genuine shoppers. Church Dr and Main ST cause problem with cars parked all day in some instances. The biggest problem, teachers and students. Maybe yellow lines to stop parking near Budgens on the corner of Church Dr, as it's very bad. Maybe charging in Health centre car park.

Pavements are shocking to use a mobility scooter, also too narrow particularly end of Selby Lane.

Car park charges would be a good idea as long as workers/business owners were exempt from payment. To avoid congestion from school parking on Church Dr could there not be a gate at the school field by the bowls club. Then the school traffic could park in the often empty village hall "roundabout " car park with easy access to school grounds.

Speeding is a serious problem between Keyworth and Plumtree. There is an accident waiting to happen at the end of Poplars Close and areas around as cars frequently accelerate crazily on leaving Keyworth. We need electronic warning signs to address this.

No ramps on roads, these render roads unusable by the disabled or road users with back problems. Permanent speed cameras on Bunny Lane and Selby Lane. Free parking is essential for the shopkeeper’s livelihoods. Resident’s only zones are not needed in this small town with no train station.

Find it difficult to park for shopping in the Square and the Parade. Parade esp. bad at school times. Car park at the pub (Tavern) has very few cars during shopping hrs, couldn't the parish buy/rent part of it from the brewery to provide more spaces for shoppers. Charges could be 1st hr free, 50p for 2hrs, and £10 over 2hrs. Many pavements are still poor although some have been resurfaced recently.

Q31 n/a Fortunately I am fit and able to walk to most of my destinations in Keyworth, though I do appreciate that parking is a problem in all the shopping areas. Also when there is a lot of activity in the village hall area the parking is insufficient. However I can offer no solutions to the problem.

Footpath along Willowbrook and Nicker Hill not wide enough to push a pushchair and walk with child, needs widening.

Bus service is excellent, although a half hour rather than hourly service would be helpful after 6.40pm from Nottingham. Also extend late night buses to Thursday as well as Fri and Saturday as this seems to be the main student night.

The Bunny Lane car park is always full. With not many people walking around Keyworth this would indicate outside villagers coming in to use the transport from Keyworth to Nottingham. I would put a charge on this park for over 2 hours stay

If you charge people to park in car parks you will encourage people to park in more quite residential areas. It’s free to use car parks at the moment and still people park in stupid places on double yellow lines because it is closer to the shops. I strongly disagree with paying to park in my village. Generate your income by fining people for stupid parking and leave the sensible people who use car parks alone. Fining poor parking will generate you a sufficient income.

On several occasions I haven't been able to park in the Bunny Lane Car Park. I think a 2 hour max stay here between 9 and 6 would be useful. Entry into this Car Park is not clear.

Pavements are an absolute disgrace, you can still see the scars after the installation of cable TV years ago, and this is a real priority. Is the village hall car park sufficiently used? Can local employers do more to provide parking space? Keyworth Tavern's car park is vastly under-used, a pity some of the Church Dr parking couldn't be diverted there.

I was recently injured and confined to a wheelchair and was shocked at the poor state of pavements and access ramps, esp. around the village centre. The recent re-surfacing has NOT addressed this. Re parking- charges will only make things worse and would be difficult to enforce. Health centre development has made the situation worse because parking is now further from the Square. If police speed checks are safety based why are they aimed at people leaving Keyworth and Plumtree, why are they never in the villages themselves?

Pavements are very irregular, walking in the evening is uncomfortable and in winter it's dangerous.

Some residents have recently been asked to park "only just" on the pavement so that prams/wheelchairs can get past on the pavement. Fair enough. At some houses however the pavement is blocked by overgrown trees, shrubs and hedges, which also block the pavements for users. These houses should also be asked to cut back their trees etc, why should car owners get all the blame?

Most people who use the Village Hall car park are there for a special reason, i.e.. to make use of the facilities. To charge them would appear unfair.

If there were a car park charge after first 2 hrs maybe local people would be able to use them. This would stop teachers parking all day at Budgens car park. The Health centre car park has people who park all day and go to work in the city on the bus. It would be good to have a bus service to Loughborough.

Except in school holidays it is impossible to use the car park behind Budgens. The education committee should face up to the fact that teachers etc, drive to their place of work and provide more parking at South Wolds, perhaps alongside Wolds Dr, thus removing a strip of playing field but perhaps ridding Church Dr of the inconsiderate parking.

I do not currently see a problem apart from disabled access to the pharmacy. However, if Keyworth was enlarged, even minimally, parking problems could become acute. Q29. If there were pedestrian crossings on the "ring road" in Keyworth, i.e.. Footpaths on Nottingham Road are a disgrace and also the cheap resurfacing on Wolds Dr. A lot of businesses depend on people being able to park, take this away and they will go away too.

Cycling around Keyworth is quite frightening, We NEED cycle lanes. Also need a better evening bus service.

Desperately need electronic warning signs, all the surrounding villages have them. I hate speed ramps. Where is the public transport link to the University and Clifton? Cycle tracks and cycle parking would be good for primary schools to save using cars. Pavements are terrible, it's very difficult using a pushchair and also for pedestrians. Dog mess is a problem on pavements. Need more police/ traffic wardens to put current restrictions in force.

Some buses should go up Nottingham Road to the Square instead of them all going up Nicker Hill and Wolds Dr.

There should be restrictions on Church Dr opposite houses. All problems here and in adjacent PUBLIC car park are obviously caused by the school, just look at the area during school holidays and the recent teacher's strike!

I call at Health centre to collect prescriptions, so use car park for 5-10mins at a time, I would not be prepared to pay for such a short stay.

Bus to QMC is v convenient, however it stops running at around 4pm, given that visiting hrs are 2.30-4.30, it makes life difficult to get back. Also difficult if you have an afternoon appointment. Sometimes doesn't turn up at all, it would be nice if it were more reliable.

Other speed controls could include chicanes, lane zones (traffic at walking pace in some low traffic residential areas). Should be very slow speed limits (with timer controls) around schools as children are going in.

As someone who gets around Keyworth on foot, most of the time. I am continually frustrated by lack of consideration shown by the majority of motorists. I find that car parking on pavements is an irritant and that cars completely blocking the pavement is completely unacceptable.

Church Dr and Brookview Dr junction with Main Street should have double yellow lines on both sides of road. 20mph limit near schools.

Charging for car parks and resident only zones would drive shoppers out of village. Insufficient spaces in public car parks.

The Health centre, should the "no entry" signs at the back of the centre be on posts nearer the village car park at the back of Buzz Fitness, as so many people for the Doctors car park go that way?! You see a lot of people don't go through the Dr's car park but use the old entrance.

I am v frustrated by the number of thoughtless drivers who regularly park across my drive for easy access to shops and Budgens

Most people park responsibly in Keyworth. There are problems around the Square where people park outside chemist/bank.

There are places in the village such as main street / Brookview drive, where there are known issues with people parking causing issues for residents. Consideration should be given to a roundabout or 'turning circle' at the top of Brookview Drive / Main Streetreet junction for cars using main street or perhaps make Main Street pedestrianised.

Bunny Lane car park, rear of Budgens and Main Street should be restricted to 2 hours. The Village Hall should be long stay for businesses. Church Dr and Wolds Drivefrom Budgens to Cherry Hill and Budgens to the Fairway should be double yellow lined. Traffic wardens to police these areas and the Square. Road junctions should be double yellow lines for 50 yards.

I work nearby at Ruddington Hall but since there is no bus route I have to drive. I am sure I would not be the only one to appreciate a REGULAR SERVICE to Asda and back.

Parking can be a problem for some residents in older parts of village

Parking for all the shops in Keyworth is a problem but luckily I can walk to Budgens or cycle to Square.

The electronic speed display signs on A60 nr Bradmore are a polite and effective way of controlling speed of local traffic. I would much prefer this, rather than strict enforcement which would merely antagonise locals and cause resentment. Permit only parking is more suitable for urban areas and would spoil the community feel of our village. It would severely limit access for elderly, disabled and pushchair users who use cars locally.

As a supply teacher it would be impossible for me to share a car.

Public transport available to the Square but NOT to return. Also, bus stop at top of Fairway needs to be relocated further down, as majority of users would benefit.

I am not a car owner, so have to go with a friend, but I know parking is bad so we go to Morrisons on the bus and just shop in Square weekly.

Nearly every other outlying district around Nottingham has a cycle route to city centre. I consider it v important to provide similar facility for Keyworth residents.

Village facilities are used but people from surrounding villages who make no financial contribution via their parish rate. It seems unfair that the burden falls upon Keyworth residents

Keyworth lacks a cohesive transport/car/pedestrian use policy. Need to adopt principles used in Holland, inside village - better landscaping and traffic calming measures. Giving priority to pedestrians and restrictive control of access to large commercial vehicles to less busy hours.

Permit only would be better around Church Dr and South Wolds school. Develop further car parking spaces at the front and sides of Leisure centre, seems to be wasted space and just traps litter

People who have drives should park on them leaving spaces for those who haven't

The practise of parking in Keyworth's car parks all day to get on buses to go into town should be stopped. Car parks are not big enough to support this, esp. the one by the health centre.

Charging for car parks would be a retrograde step. Shops are important to residents and charging for parking would mean many shoppers would bypass Keyworth and go to out of town supermarkets where parking is not a problem. Keyworth shops are struggling and need all the support they can get.

Usually only use car parks when taking my elderly mother to Drs, dentists or opticians

Not enough buses at night to Nottingham. Only 1 per hour.

I would like to be able to park my own car outside my own house but other people are often parked there. Bus service is often, but they need to be more precise on the times esp. in the mornings because it used to make me late for work regularly so I drove instead. People would use it more if it were on time.

Lack of parking for older cottages on Nottingham Road means traffic cannot get past. Cars speed down Debdale Lane, frequently over 30mph en route to council estate. Too much illegal parking, people ignoring yellow lines, esp. in Square and near Plumtree chip shop

Would like to see bus route through Ruddington from Keyworth

Car parks should be free, but in certain areas i.e.. Nottingham Road outside the school, should be residents only parking, as this causes traffic to back up. Also residents parking on Main Street as parked cars ruin the historic look of Keyworth.

I live on Manor Road cul-de-sac. I am pleased that school back gate is now open but we do have a problem with parents parking in this area, so they can drop off their children for school.

No pedestrian crossing in Square so difficult to cross because of volume of traffic and parked cars.
